I got my epilasik done in Vasan eye care, Bangalore (Hennur Branch) Surgery done on 22nd Nov 13 in JP Nagar, and I am glad that I have 6/4 vision now.
The surgery took about 10-15 mnts, returned home on the same day and I was given pain killers for 3 days with different drops, after 3 days I was on the drops and vitamin tablets for a month.
I was initially skeptical about results, as I had already read about patients reviews and the results etc.
There was double vision for first 40 days, however there was improvement in my vision day by day. Initial 1 month was little uncomfortable due to ghosting/double vision, but manageable. After 40th day, I started seeing the things clearly, more clearly. Its been more than 2 months now, using only Optive eye drops.
I was suspicious about night vision too, but I am very happy as there is no such kind of problems, watching movies in theators, 3Ds....absolutely no problem...grateful the doctor (Dr. Keya Birman)
And yes. I opted for Epilasik over Lasik, because I had a scar in my right eye(Opaque tissue, there was a limited vision) Even that scar also removed ( not completely though) can see the difference of vision -pre and post epilasik for my right eye.
My vision is still improving but there is a small problem where in if I get the objects closer (less than 20 cms approx) to my eyes, left eye vision is poorer than the right eye and also focusing on the objects with both the eyes to be still balanced for the same(very closer objects) may be it takes some more days.
I strongly recommend Epilasik, for the best results of the vision and I believe its a boon for the people. Hats off to the technology and the development in the science....
